Terms of Use
By creating or joining a session in Ph03niX Remote Assistance (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms of Use. The Service is provided free of charge on an “as-is” basis without any warranty, express or implied.
- You are responsible for any content you share, transmit, or display through the Service, and for ensuring you have the right to share it.
- You must only initiate or accept a remote assistance session with the explicit, informed consent of every participant involved.
- You may not use the Service to access systems you do not own or are not authorised to access, to distribute malware, or to violate any applicable law.
- We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason — including suspected abuse or to protect the integrity of the platform.
Privacy Notice
Ph03niX is designed to minimise the personal data we touch. Screen content, chat messages and files are exchanged peer-to-peer using WebRTC data channels and media streams. They are not stored on our servers and we do not have the ability to read them in transit.
What our backend stores is limited to the data strictly required to bring two peers together:
- Session metadata: a randomly generated 9-digit session ID, its creation timestamp, and an expiry timestamp.
- Signaling messages: short-lived WebRTC offer / answer / ICE candidate payloads, used solely to establish the peer connection.
Session and signaling records are automatically purged when the session expires (24 hours after creation) or sooner if it is abandoned. We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information — there is no sign-up.
Security
All WebRTC media and data channels are encrypted in transit using DTLS and SRTP, as mandated by the WebRTC specification. Session IDs act as one-time shared secrets — anyone who possesses a valid, unexpired session ID can join that session, so treat session IDs like passwords and share them only over trusted channels.
No software is perfectly secure. While we follow modern engineering practices, we make no warranty that the Service is free from defects or that transmission cannot be intercepted by a sufficiently capable adversary on your local device or network.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise — including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sisserou Digital Solutions Ltd, its officers, employees, affiliates and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
You are solely responsible for the consequences of any remote assistance session you participate in, including any changes made to a device during such a session. We strongly recommend ending the session and revoking access as soon as assistance is complete.
